Difficulty Level 3
The Address Book application in Panther, as you may have guessed, is a utility for storing the addresses of your family, friends, and associates. In addition to names and addresses, you can also store e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, and home pages.
The Address Book is tightly integrated with many applications in Mac OS X, including the Safari Web browser. You can view URLs that you enter into your Address Book using Safari.
Customize It | You can drag addresses from the Address Book section in the Bookmarks page of Safari to other bookmark folders. This is handy for organizing your various friends’ and contacts’ home pages with other Web pages that may pertain to them. You can also drag home page entries from the Address Book section to the Finder to create a URL file. |
