The Finder window is the most often-used tool in Panther — so it is a good idea to customize the controls that it carries. Panther enables you to add and remove controls from the Finder window toolbar, making it easy to fine-tune the Finder for maximum efficiency.

You can choose to display just text labels on your Finder toolbar; to do so, in the Customize Toolbar dialog box, click the Show drop-down list and click Text Only.

To reduce the space taken by icons in the Finder toolbar, in the Customize Toolbar dialog box, click the Use Small Size check box to enable it.
