Conclusion

If there's one simple thing to take away from this chapter it's that when working with raw files, your highlight data is your most valuable asset. The brightest tones in your image are where the bulk of your image data resides, so when making edits, you should use this data to maximum advantage.

This idea is useful only if you captured good data in the first place, so in the next chapter, you'll learn how to shoot to capture raw images that afford the greatest range of flexibility.
