Using Stickies

For those fans of Post-It Notes and their digital counterpart, Mac OS X Stickies offers a service. Any selected text in an application that supports services can be made into a Sticky note by choosing Services Make New Sticky Note (Command-Shift-Y) from the application menu. Stickies is launched, if it isn’t already, and a new Sticky note containing your selected text (up to the maximum size of a Sticky note) appears, as shown in Figure 11-7.

Note

Although Stickies can contain graphics in Mac OS X, the service ignores any graphics within the selection when it creates the Sticky note.

You can also access any of the supported services from within the Stickies application.
