For those fans of Post-It Notes and their digital counterpart, Mac OS X Stickies offers a service. Any selected text in an application that supports services can be made into a Sticky note by choosing Services Make New Sticky Note (Command-Shift-Y) from the application menu. Stickies is launched, if it isn’t already, and a new Sticky note containing your selected text (up to the maximum size of a Sticky note) appears, as shown in Figure 11-7.
Figure 11-7: Use the Make New Sticky Note service to turn any selected text into a Sticky note.
Note | Although Stickies can contain graphics in Mac OS X, the service ignores any graphics within the selection when it creates the Sticky note. |
You can also access any of the supported services from within the Stickies application.
