Vendors are building other features into their integration servers all the time. These might include version control to track the changes made in integration models (including check in/check out), traditional configuration management capabilities, and impact analysis (the ability to examine how changing information flows will affect a trading community before making the actual changes to the physical flows). Finally, all integration servers have some sort of amalgamation with a process integration tool that supports functions such as collaboration. Process integration tools place logical abstraction layers on top of existing physical integration flows, allowing users to view application integration from a business-oriented perspective rather than from a technical perspective. |
