XML is one of the most widely used acronyms of the Web and any Web designer should be aware of it. Not that you necessarily will use it that much so far, people seem to talk about XML more than they actually use it but XML is an ingredient in many of the Web languages that are being developed for the Web. Also, knowing XML helps put other languages, such as HTML and CSS, in perspective. Before we describe how CSS and XML work together, XML will be introduced through a small essay Bert Bos wrote for W3C: XML in 10 points.
