Scripting

Maxscript: Maya's MELscripting ability is nearly identical, with the same capabilities to grab code from a listener and drag it to the Maya Shelf for often-repeated commands. MELscript is much more deeply integrated into its host program than maxscript is; in fact, every part of Maya runs based on MELscripts. MELscript is an integral part of Maya's overall design.
