To execute a command in the submenu, move the mouse pointer to the command you want (in this example, Mail Recipient) and press the left mouse button.

INTRODUCTION

The menu bar, just below the application window's title bar, contains eight menus: File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Window, and Help. In addition, Word includes a Table menu; Excel features a Data window; and PowerPoint displays a Slide Show menu.

TIP

Using Your Keyboard to Issue Commands

If you want to use your keyboard instead of your mouse to issue a menu command, press the Alt key and then press the letter that's underlined in the menu name. For example, press Alt+F to view the File menu.

TIP

Menu Commands Followed by an Ellipsis

If an ellipsis (…) appears next to a menu a command, it means a dialog box will open when you choose the command, giving you more options.
