VPs

ATM VPs are made up of bundled multiple VCCs with the same origination/termination endpoints. This bundling of virtual channels into a single VP simplifies the provisioning and implementation of large numbers of VCs, provided they share common endpoint pairs. Figure 9-3 illustrates VP and VCs.

ATM point-to-point connections are a pair of simplex connections; one connection from Site A Site B, and one connection from Site B Site A. Each connection pair is made up of a VCC.
