Who Should Read This Book?

This book provides introductory and intermediate coverage of broad data and voice networking concepts, including fundamental architecture, design, management, and security.

The primary audience is any "non-technical" individual in a networking sales or service position. By nature, individuals in these positions are not as technical as engineers or consultants, necessitating the sales engineering role. One of the challenges sales engineers face is the task of pushing knowledge to their respective sales and service teams so that these teams are better prepared when in front of a customer, either in person or via telephone, in turn providing better/more clear and complete information to the engineers and consultants.

This book addresses the following primary audiences:

  • Pre-Sales and Service Representatives

  • New Hires Sales and Customer Service Representatives

Secondary Audience:

  • Senior Sales and Customer Service Representatives

  • Sales Engineers

Anyone in a pre-sales engineering (products or services) environment
