WP-ShortStat

The WP-ShortStat plugin provides visitor statistics for your blog on a ShortStat adminsitration panel within WordPress (Figure 67).

WP-ShortStat was written by Jeff Minard and can be downloaded from jrm.cc/archives/blog/wp-shortstat/.

To use WP-ShortStat

1.	Follow the instructions earlier in this chapter and on the WP-ShortStat Web page to install and activate the plugin.
2.	Click the Dashboard button in the administration panel and then click the ShortStat button. The ShortStat administration panel with statistics for your site appears.

Tips

• Statistics start accumulating when you install WP-ShortStat. When you first view the ShortStat administration panel, there may not be any statistics to see.

• If you have trouble getting ShortStat to work with WordPress 2.0.2, there is a fix available by Pascal VanHecke. Visit pascal.vanhecke.info and use the search feature to search for ShortStat. The page that appears includes a link to the fix.
