It’s all there in black and white.
When an employee reaches a significant years-of-service milestone (even at retirement), give each of his friends, family members and colleagues a piece of nice, scrapbook-quality paper. Encourage them to write down a note of admiration, a favorite memory of the person—anything they feel would be meaningful to the employee on this important occasion. Then gather the papers and bind them into a memory book. Believe us, it will be the best book the employee has read all year.
Note | This is not a last-minute project. Start well in advance—so you can be sure it gets done right. |
