.NET and COM Interoperability Handbook, The
By Alan Gordon
Table of Contents

My name may be listed as the sole author of this book, but it took the work of a team of people on both coasts to make this happen. Let me begin by thanking the people at Prentice Hall who were directly involved in the production of the book: my acquisitions editor, Jill Harry, my developmental editor, Jim Markham, and my technical reviewer, Duncan Mackenzie. I owe a special thanks to Duncan who did a fabulous job as a technical reviewer. Thanks also to Nicholas Radhuber, who did the final production work to turn my manuscript into the book you now hold in your hand.

I worked on this book during a tumultuous period of life. During the writing of this book (which took a year longer than expected) I switched publisherstwice, had a second child, and completely remodeled my house. I could not have made it through all of this without the unwavering support of my family. First, I would like to thank my parents, Agatha and Winston Gordon Sr., for always being there for me. When my first contractor abandoned my remodeling project after completely demolishing my house, my father was at my side every day helping me to get the project back on track. I could not have continued work on this project through that traumatic period without his help. I would also like to thank my older brother, Winston Gordon Jr., who inspired me to become a programmer. Next, I would like to thank my two children, Bria Almarie and Bryan Alan, for being a constant source of joy in my life. Finally, I would like to thank my wife of nine years , Tamber Lynn, for being a source of love and support during a very trying year. I promise, this is the last book. Of course, I said the same thing after I wrote the first one. To anyone I forgot , I'm sorry, I was well past my deadline when I wrote this.
