A.76. Scrap Files

On the Mac, they're called clipping files , and they're even more widely compatible. You create them the same way: Drag some highlighted text, or a graphic, out of a program's window and onto the desktop. There it becomes an independent clipping file that you can drag back into the same window, or a different one.
