There are a number of examples of spreadsheets being used to support business decision-making. This paper has shown how a spreadsheet can be used to support small business decision-making in relation to how much it should outlay on a Web site and where it can access the skills to implement the Web site. This is presented within the context of a model designed to assist small businesses in identifying and carrying out the processes that they need to follow to set up a Web site. The particular examples identified, determining the suitability of the level of outlay chosen by the user for the Web site and an assessment of the suitability of internal staff of the business to set up the Web site, have shown how some of these decisions can be quantified and setup to be made by the decision support application. Where there is some uncertainty, the user is informed of such and it is suggested that further investigation needs to occur.
