Changes Planned for Future Versions

When designing the system, TSC tried to foresee what would be modified once the system starts to evolve with additional functionality. TSC developed the system with the goal that the addition of further components would be as painless and efficient as possible. With this in mind, the code was developed with the capacity to easily maintain and extend the existing code. Further similar chat systems can be built more rapidly and inexpensively, as the individual chat user interface and some server-side CFCs can be reused, enhanced, or extended. This reusability is due to the insight of TSC's analyst, who recognized that this system and its components have the capability of being reused.

The current system is expected to be used for the foreseeable future. This does not rule out the possibility of enhancements such as

• Character-by-character transmission

• Video

• Audio

These enhancements would give TSC the benefit of integrating more of the large suite of features in the Flash Communication Server. Obviously research is needed, but TSC does not have a problem with delegating time to this task. Research and development is the reality of successful businesses. To any prospective client, you only have the skills and experience of past projects. To convey a presence of competence, TSC relies on its in-house research and development to identify new and relevant technologies to its own development team and current and prospective clients.
