Summary

In this chapter, we discussed the UDDI Publishing API in detail. You learned how to publish new information and update existing information on a UDDI registry using XML-based programmatic interfaces.

We also briefly discussed how the ebXML set of specifications provide a modular yet complete framework to ensure interoperability in an e-business application. We then discussed in detail the registry services that are part of the ebXML set of specifications.

We then discussed the concept of XML registries, and explained how JAXR allows its clients to access XML registries for read/write operations. Finally, we proposed a P2P-based Web services model.
