Yahoo! merchant ratings and reviews are feedback from your customers, as seen in Figure 13.8. The rating system is based on a 15 star scale. You have the option of turning Customer Ratings on so that your customers can have an opportunity to rate your product and services. Customers are given a set of questions to answer and they also have an opportunity to write their own comments. Enabling Customer Ratings will not only help you receive valuable feedback about your service and product, but will allow your potential customer to see third-party comments about your product and services.

Tip:

In order to receive high ratings, make sure your products are well packaged, always return phone calls and emails in a timely manner, and over-deliver the promised shipping deliver date. Calling customers you have provided excellence service to and asking them to rate your product will also help improve ratings.


In order to participate in Yahoo! Shopping, customer ratings must be enabled. Customers who visit Yahoo! Shopping will see your star rating next to your products.
