Appendix C. Enterprise Library for the .NET Framework 2.0

THIS BOOK EXPLAINS the design of Enterprise Library for the .NET Framework 1.1 and how to extend, develop, and configure Enterprise Library's application blocks. As this book went into production, Enterprise Library for the .NET Framework 2.0 was released. The primary objective of the Enterprise Library for the .NET Framework 2.0 release is to unify the assets delivered with Enterprise Library with those delivered by the .NET 2.0 Framework. While most of the interfaces exposed by Enterprise Library remain unchanged, there are some important differences with how the blocks achieve the features they provide. This appendix highlights those differences.^[1]
