Answers

1.	The BIOS runs the programs that allow the computer’s devices to communicate with the CPU.
2.	The CMOS setup routine can be accessed in several different ways, depending on the brand. Some of the more common ways to start the routine are to press Del, F2, Ctrl+F1, or Ctrl+Alt+Esc. Most manufacturers tell you how to enter the CMOS setup as the computer is booting.
3.	Flash ROM can be reprogrammed with the chip installed on the motherboard.
4.	DIPPs, 30-pin SIPPs, 30-pin SIMMs, 72-pin SIMMs, and 168-pin DIMMs.
