Summary

 < Day Day Up >

Linux is a powerful and inexpensive operating system that provides a very user-friendly graphical user interface and provides access to a number of software applications. Linux is an open source Unix clone, which means that much, if not most, of what you do in Linux is identical to what you do in Unix. Its price and stability are attracting a growing number of users, but there are still a number of applications that have no corresponding Linux version. It is also important to note that more obscure hardware may not have a Linux driver.
