Naming Your Procedures

Command procedures (as with all files) should be given names that indicate their functions. The default file type is .COM. Although it is possible to create a command procedure with a different file type, it is strongly recommended that you do not do so, because you would have to include its type when you execute the file. Examples of command procedure names are TERMINAL_SETUP.COM and COMPILE.COM.
