Availability

In general, but most importantly at critical junctures such as end of quarter or year end, the system must offer a high degree of availability. If a computer becomes unavailable, then another computer must be able to take over the requisite functions without a great deal of effort (or perhaps none at all) in reconfiguring the system. This requires that the system be capable of transferring functional units from one computer to another.
