Q1:	Where did the Link column go?
A1:	In Photoshop CS2, there is no longer a Link column because you can now simply click (either Shift-click or Command-click [PC: Control-click]) on multiple layers to select them. If you want layers to be linked, click on the Link icon at the bottom of the Layers palette after selecting them.
Q2:	How can I make my Layers palette show more layers? I've got a ton of layers and I can only see some of them because of the size of my Layers palette. I've made the palette as big as I can. Is there anything else I can do?
A2:	If you've named your layers (and therefore don't need a thumbnail view), go to the Layers palette's flyout menu and choose Palette Options. Change the Thumbnail Size to None, and you'll see only a list of layer names , so more layers will be visible. A second option is to click on the Create a New Group icon at the bottom of the Layers palette and click-and-drag layers into your new layer Group. Then you can work with groups of layers rather than a long list of layers.
Q3:	Is there a quick way to show the contents of just one layer?
A3:	Option-click (PC: Alt-click) on the Eye icon of the layer you wish to view and the rest of the layers will be hidden. Option/Alt-click again to show all layers.
Q4:	Is there a quick way to change the order of my layers?
A4:	With a layer selected, you can press-and-hold Command (PC: Control) and use the Bracket keys ([]) to move a layer up (Right Bracket) or down (Left Bracket) in the layer stack. Add the Shift key to move the active layer to the very top or very bottom of the layer stack (but not below the Background layer).
Q5:	Is it possible to move a bunch of separate layers up or down in the Layers palette?
A5:	Just select the layers you want to move and drag them up or down in the Layers palette (or use the keyboard shortcuts mentioned in the previous question).
Q6:	As I was about to work on a layer, I noticed its Eye icon is there but grayed out. I've only seen the Eye either showing or not showing, so why is it gray? ISTOCKPHOTO/ROB SYLVAN
A6:	That happens when the layer is part of a clipping mask and the clipping layer is hidden. If you click on the empty box to the left of the clipping layer to make it visible (so it's Eye icon appears), all the other layers' Eye icons will change from gray to normal. Note : You can still hide a layer that is being clippedthis problem occurs only when the clipping layer is hidden.
Q7:	How do I select layers that are not adjacent? I want to select a bunch of layers that are spread out in the Layers palette. How do I do that?
A7:	Hold down the Command (PC: Control) key and click on the layers you want to select (use the Shift key only for adjacent layers).
Q8:	How do I select the contents of a layer? I used to Command-click (PC: Control-click) on the layer name to make a selection, but it doesn't work in Photoshop CS2. What gives?
A8:	In Photoshop CS2 you have to click on the layer's thumbnail rather than the layer's name (with Command [PC: Control] held down) to make a selection around the contents of the layer.
