28.3. Conclusion

Our decisions in Firefoxsecurity and otherwiseare guided entirely by one core, humbling belief shared by all members of the team: software is just a means to an end. Don't overwhelm your users with talk of ciphers and encryption and other jabberwocky. Empathize with them, and force yourself to make the tough decisions so that they don't have to. Be human, not corporate, and respond to security fire drills with tenacity and alacrity. Do all of these things, and usability will follow.
