Mentoring is the most cost-efficient and sustainable method of fostering and developing talent within your organisation.

You can use mentoring to: stretch talented employees to perform even better by exposure to high performing colleagues; ensure that experience is passed and kept within your organisation; power your diversity programme by supporting employees from groups that are under-represented in your organisation by having them talk with others who have overcome similar barriers.

David Clutterbuck shows you what mentoring is and how it differs from coaching. It shows you how to make the business case for mentoring and then how set up, run and maintain your own mentoring programme. Everything from selecting and matching mentors and mentees to measuring the results.

Mentoring is the ultimate win-win-win business tool. The employee gets a helping hand to fast-track their career and the mentor gets the satisfaction of helping others develop and benefits form the reflection the process requires, while the organisation gets improved performance, and employee retention.

In short: mentoring works. Here's how.
