Can we demonstrate a little HTML control here?

Ahhhh!!! Now that we are through building a foundation, we can really sink our teeth into ASP.NET and all the great stuff it has to offer. Microsoft has put a lot of thought into ASP.NET three years plus. They've done two incredible things for web developers like you and me: They've built a framework (remember skeleton) that is built of great objects that cover the gamut of typical web design needs, and they have made a platform of extensibility that gives developers the ability to fill in the gaps and dream up crazy outside-the-box objects that can do just about anything you can imagine.

You are going to spend the next few chapters checking out the key objects that are part of the .NET Framework. We'll poke, prod, and stretch these objects to really see what they can do. This chapter starts with Working with HTML Server Controls.
