Oracle Applications 11i with Oracle Database 10g

Oracle Applications 11i, also known as the Oracle E-Business Suite, has recently been certified with Oracle Database 10g. Specifically, Oracle Applications Release 11.5.9 and Oracle Applications Release 11.5.10 have been certified to work with Oracle Database 10g Release 10.1.0.4 on a number of UNIX and Windows platforms. A number of prerequisites will have to be met; these are detailed in the Certification Matrix for your platform of choice. A special patch known as the interoperability patch for that platform and that application version must also be applied. For more details, refer to MetaLink Note #282038.1 Oracle Applications Release 11i with Oracle Database 10g Release 1 (10.1.0). With this version of the database stack, a number of initialization parameters should be removed, and the COMPATIBLE parameter should be set to 10.1.0. As well, the automatic SGA tuning should be enabled by setting the SGA_TARGET parameter.
