Recording from the Program Guide or Search Results

As described previously, My TV's one-touch recording feature (see Figure 8.2) is so simple that it hardly bears mentioning: Highlight the listing for the show you want, and press Rec. Just remember, though, that for My TV to successfully execute a timed recording based on your one-touch request, your Media Center PC needs to remain turned on, operating in either standby mode or hibernation mode (for details about standby and hibernation modes, see Chapter 4, "Navigating XP Media Center's '10-Foot' Interface").
