Learning Selection Techniques

To move, copy, delete, or change the formatting of data in a worksheet, you must first select the cells you want to modify. Selected cells appear darker on screenjust the reverse of unselected text, with the exception of the first cell. The first cell does not appear darker ; it just has a dark border around it.

NOTE

Make sure the mouse pointer is a white cross before attempting to select cells.

To deselect a block of cells, click the mouse in any single cell.
