The following list of EtherTypes comprises information from various sources, including RFC 1700 and some personal observations. Any errors or omissions are therefore my own. For a complete up-to-date list of Ether-Types see the following IANA URL:

Note that within an Ethernet frame header, values greater than 0x05dc (decimal 1500) in the Type field indicate an LLC frame (in which case the value is interpreted as a length field, and the higher level protocol is identified by the LSAPs which follow).
