THE CASE OF THE MISSING HARD DISK

Annoyance Factor 7: It's the simple things in life that make it worth living. Like removing someone's hard disk icon from the desktop. To do this, go to the Finder menu, under Preferences, click on the General icon, and under Show These Items on the Desktop, uncheck the box for Hard Disks. The next time they start up, their hard drive won't appear on their desktop, and their subsequent freak-out will begin.
