Who Is This Book For?

This book is intended for Microsoft Windows network and security administrators with at least 1–2 years of experience. While a beginning administrator can easily implement any of the discussed techniques, it helps to have a firm foundation of Windows basic fundamentals and TCP/IP before reading any book of this nature. In most scenarios, I will explain all topics from A to Z, and assume all readers need a complete understanding. In my experience, people who claim to be an expert in a particular technology don't understand the basics as well as they thought. Heck, that's me some of the time, too.
