In this chapter, we have thoroughly explored the client installation methods and enabled them and our client installation accounts accordingly. We've examined the installation process and seen too how that process ties in to the discovery and site assignment processes. We've noted the changes that take place on the client after SMS has been installed, including modifications made to the client's registry and the amount of disk space required. We've even seen how to go about removing SMS from the client should the need arise. Now that we have installed our clients, the next step is to enable and configure the client agents that will enable us to more completely manage these clients—agents such as the Remote Tools Client Agent and the Advertised Programs Client Agent. We'll begin with the inventory agents in Chapter 9.
