Using Alternative Ways of Working

If you have any difficulties when you're working with your computer, the Ease Of Access Center provides easy steps you can use to set up your computer with alternative tools and settings that will make the work easiest for you.

Set the Options

Click the Start button, type access in the Search box, and click Ease Of Access Center to display the Ease Of Access Center window.

Select these check boxes if you want the contents of this section read aloud and want to have each of the tools highlighted in order.

If you want to use any of the listed tools to improve the view, to have the window's contents read to you, or to use the On-Screen Keyboard for alternative input, click the tool or press the Spacebar to select the highlighted tool.

Select the scenario that best fits the way you want to adjust the system.

Select the item or items you want to use.

If necessary, for each item, select an option or click an item to make additional settings. Click Save when you've finished.

Select any other scenario that fits your needs, and repeat steps 4 through 6.

Tip

To quickly open the Ease Of Access Center, press the Windows key+U. Alternatively, you can click Ease Of Access and then click Ease Of Access Center in the Control Panel.
