Creating an AutoMovie

If you have one or more video files that you want to turn into a movie, why not let Windows Movie Maker do the work so that you don't have to? With AutoMovie, the video file is split into clips and the transitions are automatically inserted between the clips. You can also add special video effects to the entire movie.

Create a Movie

Start Windows Movie Maker from the Start menu.

Click Collections, and select the collection containing the video file or files you want for your movie. If you want only certain video files to be used, select the files.

Click AutoMovie.

Select the movie style you want.

Click, and enter the title of your movie.

Click, and add audio or background music from a file.

Click, and wait for Movie Maker to create your movie.

Make any changes to the movie on the Storyboard and Timeline, save the project, and publish your movie.
