Downloading Music

When you want to purchase and download music, you'll find that Windows Media Player has direct links to many online stores. Initially, the default provider is Urge, but you can choose from a variety of other providers.

Get Your Music

If you want to use Urge, click the Urge button, and, on the Web page that appears, follow the instructions for signing up, sampling music, and downloading the items you want.

If you want to use a service other than Urge, point to Urge (or to Online Stores if you didn't set up Urge as your default service when you set up Media Player), click the down arrow, and choose Browse All Online Stores.

Double-click the store you want to use as your default store, and follow the directions for signing up and downloading the music you want.

Tip

Because the Online Stores information is a live Web page, you might see different stores from the ones shown here.
