Using NukeAmazon

This is where the fun begins. The main page is shown (partially) in Figure 34.2. The different product icons pull in products from Amazon.com, right on your Web site, that match the category clicked, as shown in Figure 34.3. You'll also notice your featured products at the bottom of the page, on the left, drawing users' attention to them.

Sort of the whole strategy is to keep users on your site so that everything they buy through Amazon gets credited to your affiliate account.

Sidebar . FAQ

What's an affiliate ID?

Amazon.com's affiliate program allows you to sort of act as their salesperson, selling their products and earning a commission on those sales. An affiliate ID is simply your ID number with Amazon, which must be passed along with each sale you make to ensure you're properly credited for the sale. This PHP-Nuke module takes care of passing the ID; visit www.amazon.com/affiliate to sign up for the program or learn more about it.

Amazon does change its payment structure and overall affiliate program on a quarterly basis, so be sure to check in often to see what the latest plan looks like.
