Using Commercial Printing Tools

Publisher provides full support for commercial printing, including automatic conversion to spot or process color with automatic color separation. In addition, advanced tools such as trapping (overlapping the edges of different colors), graphic link management, and font lists provide commercial printers with the features they need to print high-quality publications . Check with your commercial printer for the specific settings and options you need to complete your print job.

Change Color Print Settings

Click the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools, and then click Color Printing.

Click the color define option you want.

Specify the inks or colors you want.

Click OK.

Change Trapping Preferences

Click the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools, point to Registration Settings, and then click Publication.

Select the trapping and over-printing check boxes you want.

If necessary, click Reset All to restore settings.

Click OK.

Did You Know?

You can get an embedded font list . Embed a font when the printer doesn't have it. Click the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools, and then click Fonts.
