In this chapter we will explore FreeHand MX: its work environment and tools. Armed with a basic understanding of the program's collaborative features as well as its robust set of drawing and design tools will enable you to focus on the process of creation instead of the process of production.

The FreeHand MX environment is naturally quite similar to that of the other Studio MX programs.

For more on the MX environment, see Chapter 3, "Introducing the MX Interface," page 23 .

However, unlike the other programs, FreeHand enables you to design for both print and Web environments. Accordingly, FreeHand gives you some extra tools and features to use that will enrich your creative options.
