You can access document attributes from the Property inspector or by choosing Modify, Document. The Property inspector shows the Document attributes by default when you open a new document, or you can access them by clicking on an empty portion of the Stage with the Selection or Subselection tool. The Size button launches a mostly redundant Document Properties pop-up dialog box, where you can specify the Stage dimensions (by typing in numbers , by choosing the default dimensions, or by matching the dimensions to the printer or the Stage contents), background color, frame rate, and ruler units. The Publish button launches the Publish Settings dialog box, where you determine what kinds of files to publish (for example, SWF, HTML) and various attributes of those files (such as the version of the Flash Player for the SWF, or the alignment of the Flash content within the HTML file). The Background Color box provides drop-down color swatches to specify the background color of the Stage. The frames per second (fps) option specifies the speed at which the movie plays; you can enter the speed directly into the Frame Rate field.
NOTE
Document and movie are interchangeable terms in Flash. Document may be used more often when referring to both visual and non-visual aspects of the movie. Movie feels right when referring to specifically cinematic features such as scenes and frames.
