You can disable and enable a layer mask as needed, so you can see how your image looks with and without the mask applied. The following steps show you the fastest way to control whether a mask appears:
Click on Layer . The Layer menu will appear.
Click on Disable Layer Mask . Photoshop will disable the mask display immediately and will place a red X through the mask thumbnail.
Click on Layer . The Layer menu will appear.
Click on Enable Layer Mask . Photoshop will reapply the mask immediately, and the image display will be affected accordingly .
