We have walked through an example of integrating systems asynchronously with JMS, and discussed some of the issues related to client use of Connectors and WebSphere's support for them. Integration of databases was covered in Chapter 5. In general, J2EE and WebSphere's support allows integration of numerous back end datasystems. We have also looked at how using a variety of technologies leads to certain design and access patterns that could be hidden behind a consistent service description. It is now time to dig into web services in more detail.
