The remainder of the book contains appendices that you may find useful. The first of these is a JSP tag reference. It is followed by the API for servlets and JSPs, so you know what methods and constants are available to you. These will be very useful, especially for filling out things we were only able to touch on.
It also includes a couple of things that I hope will be handy as you start doing your own developing. Appendix C is a glossary that quickly defines key Java terms, because it can sometimes be difficult to keep abstract classes and interfaces straight. Appendix D is a very short list of Java bookmarks ”places on the Internet where you can download code, read articles, and keep up-to-date. The book concludes with Appendix E, a Quick Reference that shows you how to do important Java functions with no fluff. This is useful when it's hard to remember something, but it is also helpful for things we didn't get to cover much. For instance, it shows you how to use the .jar utility to pack up and unpack an application.
