A Flash document can be optimized through the use of preloaders , which are several smaller Flash movies as opposed to one big Flash movie, and symbols. Things such as sound, video, embedded fonts, and huge JPEG files should be avoided or used sparingly to keep file sizes low. Flash gives you two tools to retrieve information about your Flash movie: size reports and the bandwidth profiler. Flash lets you publish multiple formats at once through the Publish Settings option.
