Configuring Paging on Destinations

The instructions below describe how to configure paging on destinations without using a JMS template. One prerequisite for this procedure is that the target server must already be configured for paging.

  1. In the Administration console, expand the JMS server instance.

  2. Click the Destinations node to display the server's topics and queues in the right pane.

  3. In the right pane, select the queue or topic that you are trying to configure for paging.

  4. In the right pane, click on the Thresholds and Quotas tab. To configure bytes paging:

    1. Click on the check box labeled "Select the Bytes Paging Enabled."

    2. Specify a threshold value (in bytes) above which bytes paging will start on this server in the Bytes Threshold High box.

    3. Specify a threshold value (in bytes) below which bytes paging will stop on this server in the Bytes Threshold Low box.

  5. Also on the Thresholds and Quotas tab, follow the instructions below to configure messages paging:

    1. Click the Messages Paging Enabled check box.

    2. Specify a threshold value above which messages paging will start on this server in the Messages Threshold High box.

    3. Specify a threshold value below which messages paging will stop on this server in the Messages Threshold Low box.

  6. When you are satisfied that the values you have entered are complete and correct, click "Apply."

  7. Reboot WebLogic server.
