Using CompTIA's Exam Software EffectivelyA well-known principle when taking exams is to first read over the entire exam from start to finish while answering only those questions you feel absolutely sure of. The next time around, you can delve into the more complex questions. Knowing how many such questions you have left helps you spend your exam time wisely. Fortunately, the CompTIA exam software makes this approach easy to implement. At the top of each question, in the left corner, is a check box that permits you to mark the question for later review.
As you read each question, if you answer only those you are sure of, and mark those you are unsure of for review, you can continue working through a dwindling list of questions as you answer the less complex ones first.
Work through the marked questions until you are certain of all your answers or until you know you will run out of time. If questions remain unanswered, you will want to go through them quickly and guess. Leaving a question unanswered means you won't receive credit for it, and a guess has at least a chance of being correct.
