This Case Study builds a fictional information site called SandyEscapes. It is a website with general information on beach vacation locations. The domain for the site will be sandyescapes.com. The website will not utilize any public user logins. Anonymous visitors will be allowed to read and comment to some areas, but only administrator accounts will log in. For this site, you use the core modules Admin Messages, Web Links, Banners, FAQ, and Recommend Us. The site will have news articles and show statistics, but the thirdparty modules, Pagesetter and Statistics, will manage them. Along with the core Banners module, the site will also use the pncPayPal Contribute block for donations. Finally, this example site will use AT-Lite's theme engine for layout management. The design will be less boxy than the first Case Study and incorporate more block types. This site will also use a different home page layout than that used by its subpages. |
