The concept of Channels in SAP BW 1.2B has been replaced with Activity Groups. Instead of maintaining Channels and reports assignments in InfoCatalog manager, SAP has replaced the InfoCatalog manager with an Activity Group Maintenance program, transaction PFCG. SAP also provides conversion utilities to migrate InfoCatalog, Channels, and favorite entries to the new format.
