3.5. Where to Learn MoreMozilla's support site for Firefox has a great collection of pages explaining keyboard and mouse shortcuts in Firefox, along with their equivalents in IE. In addition, the Firefox site has a brief reference for each menu entry.
For a complete explanation by Microsoft of the new Windows XP SP2 pop-up blocker, see the company's own rather technical discussion. As for the question of tabs appearing in IE, ZDNet reported the following on November 11, 2004: "Microsoft's [security and management product manager, Ben] English reiterated that features such as tabbed browsing were not important to IE users. `I don't believe it is a true statement that IE doesn't have the features that our customers want'... said English."
Wikipedia has articles on both character encoding and Unicode that do a good job of explaining what they are and how they should be used. For Firefox-specific Unicode instructions, see Alan Wood's "Setting up Firefox Web Browsers for Multilingual and Unicode Support."
